The renovation of this apartment on SQN 107 sought to preserve characteristics of the original 1965 project, designed by Mayumi Watanabe and Sérgio Lima, and to adapt some of its spaces to the new functional needs of residents. One of the significant changes was the change of position of the kitchen with the inclusion of an office closer to the bedroom area. The new kitchen, repositioned and integrated into the living room through a metal frame that allows it to be closed, was covered in 15x15cm white tiles, typical of the construction period. The original ceramic floor was recovered and maintained in the foyer, living room, kitchen and service area. The rooms had floors covered in solid guaiuvira wood and received cabinets in laminated freijó wood. We recovered the original massive concrete walls in the living room, bedrooms and bathrooms.
