Paes House

UNDER CONSTRUCTION

BRASÍLIA-DF, 2020

The topography in great slope and the existence of native vegetation in the place guided the option for a constructive method that would allow a work with the minimum possible intervention in the existing terrain. To this end, the project foresees to house most of the program in a pavilion in a metallic structure “suspended” on the ground, supported by only four foundation points that will be adapted to the topography. The solar orientation and the possibilities of view to the distant landscape directed the implantation of the pavilion in the highest elevation of the land and slightly rotated in relation to the street. The pool, located on a small plateau at the bottom of the land, is connected to the small access square under the pavilion and to the open garage (which is mandatory in the condominium) by stairs that will work as “open-air trails”. The metal staircase leading to the house will hang from one side of the pavilion and will be connected to the access square. The main elements of the structure and its external closings (laminated steel beams, steel deck slab base and thermoacoustic tiles) will be manufactured remotely, assembled and finished on site. All internal walls will be built in dry-wall.
