AVARÉ-SP, 2023
Project of Houses and Residential Condominium in Avaré, SP.
We designed a condominium with five single-story houses on a long, gently sloping lot with direct access to the Jurumirim dam, in the interior of São Paulo. We implanted the houses at different levels, along the natural slope of the topography. This allowed all backyards and gazebo to overlook the beautiful surrounding landscape.
The houses are linear constructions whose length varies between 45.5 meters and 49 meters. Their plans are similar, with small internal program variations. Its structures are configured by repeating exposed concrete frames with identical distances from each other (3.50 meters), connected by slabs that will be positioned at two different heights. The “gap” resulting from the displacement between the slabs will allow natural light to enter the center of the internal space.
Each unit has hollow panels for solar protection and privacy control on its east and west facades. The panel designs follow geometric patterns that will be different in each house. The backyards, in turn, open to the north, towards the view of the dam. Two common boat garages are located under the houses closest to the waterline.
