308S Apartment

BUILT

BRASÍLIA-DF, 2019

The renovation of this three-bedroom apartment in Brasília’s “model court” completely reconfigured the original floor plan. With this, we were able to connect the kitchen and bathroom of the suite directly to the ventilated “cobogós” facade of the building. In the kitchen and dining room, the demolition of the walls revealed part of the original structure, which was left apparent. The spacing between the inverted beam and the facade was transformed into a linear garden.

The original wooden floor was removed by the former resident, so we again proposed to use a natural wooden floor with pagination and dimensioning of pieces different from the original ones, in order to signal the nature of the intervention. The original mechanical blinds were recovered and reinstalled in the living room and bedrooms.
