110N Apartment

BUILT

BRASÍLIA-DF, 2020

The renovation of this duplex apartment in Asa Norte in Brasília changed the original sectorization of the rooms. The kitchen on the lower floor was opened to the family room (which became a dining room) and part of the existing room was divided to create a bedroom and a pantry. The opening of the kitchen to the dining room and the creation of a “translucent” staircase made of perforated metal plate allow natural light to reach the central part of the apartment. The upper floor houses the living room, office, leisure area and a support kitchen. All the ceilings were removed to reveal the concrete structure of the building. The layout of the new wooden floor refers to the floors of the first residential buildings in the city.
