BUILT
BRASÍLIA – DF, 2023
The renovation and expansion project for this house built in the 1980s reused and complemented the concrete structure of the original house. The front and back facades were “enlarged” through advances allowed by the new legislation, which made it possible to create large shading eaves. This resulted in the complete reconfiguration of the facades and the redesign of the house’s roof, following the slopes of the terrain and the new roof. Internally, all pillars and beams were maintained and walls were removed to house the internal organization of a law firm. This includes the work area on the upper floor, level with the street, and the social area (meetings and living) on the lower floor, in addition to the new internal staircase. The interior architectural design and lighting and furniture specifications were designed by architect Hélio Albuquerque.
