BRASÍLIA-DF, 2015
Located at SQS 116 in Brasilia, the renovation of this 276 sqm duplex apartment did not alter the original spatial configuration.
The concrete structure previously hidden by a plaster lining was exposed with the liner removed, which resulted in the elevation of the ceilings of the living and dining rooms. Between the beams, the Cumarú wood liner hides the hydraulic pipes of the upper deck and inlays the lighting.
The floor coverings of the lower deck have been replaced by cold materials in the living room, kitchen and service area as opposed to the cumaru wood floor covering the entire upper floor. The entry level of the room received the same treatment as the stairs in burned cement. The bathrooms were lined with melamine laminate on the floor and walls.
