House of White Bricks

PROJECT

BRASÍLIA-DF, 2017

The house occupies the building’s perimeter of the site with the intention of releasing the central green area for use by the residents. The gradual opening of the white bricks on the perimeter of the house defines what can be displayed inside the house and what should be preserved. This second layer has the function of controlling direct sunlight, protecting the interior of the house and allowing cross ventilation in the main environments. The main access is via a ramp facing the street with no additional gates, fences or walls.
